physics
Acceleration, increase in the rate or speed of something, can relate to physics in more than one way. Acceleration can be shown by a car, an object dropping, or something flying. There's also deceleration, which is an object losing speed after time.
basketball
When a player throws a ball, the ball decelerates after time in the air, due to wind resistance and gravity pulling it towards the ground.
But after the basketball makes it in the net, it stops and falls down to the court, and accelerated while falling.
